Pure titanium is a non-magnetic metallic element, silver-gray in color, with a high melting point (1668 degrees Celsius) and a relatively low density (4.506-4.516g/cubic centimeter, 20 degrees Celsius). Its thermal conductivity at 25 degrees Celsius is 14.99W/(m·℃), which is only 1/6 of iron and 1/16 of aluminum, which will have an adverse effect on cutting processing and welding.
In addition, its expansion coefficient at 25 degrees Celsius is 8.36×10^-6℃^-1, which is smaller than iron and nickel, which helps to compensate for the thermal stress caused by low thermal conductivity, so it is beneficial in material processing and heat treatment.
